It is possible for a sorcerer to channel energy directly from the inorganic world, and it is the inorganic beings themselves that can teach you how to do it, but more importantly, allow you to do it. First, remember that the djinn used to be angels but aren't anymore, so there isn't any nobility in their way of life, it is petty like ours. Don't ever expect their behavior to be admirable. This is why sorcerers don't let inorganic beings lead them, they don't worship or put them on a pedestal, and they know that the djinn are not looking for freedom either for themselves or us. After you have crossed at least three or four gates of dreaming, you can ask them to teach you how to channel their energy on a large scale, but there is a price for that knowledge, it is a sort of hazing ritual that you have to go through with them in order to prove that you are one of them. You have to allow your assemblage point to be moved to a location where they will be able to hurt you, which is exactly what they will do. It is sort of like joining a gang. This is an intermediate step on the way to staying with them forever. This is how Castaneda went about doing it, and the reason for it was power. Be clear about that part, it is only for power, not for wisdom or freedom, so don't delude yourself into thinking that it is. Sure, other sorcerers benefited from Castaneda doing this, some of them even became better sorcerers with that energy, but nobody became a better nagualist because of it. Since you can't become a nagualist if you aren't a sorcerer first, I guess that doesn't actually matter.
